Second Division West Results

At the end of the season the 1st-place team in First Division
East will play the 1st-place team from First Division West for the Second Division Championship
|
| Divisions are normally made up of 10 teams. Seasons are normally 18 games
long (9 home, 9 away). In previous seasons there were 10 Second Division teams and 10 Third Division teams, a total
of 20 teams. This season, however, the Third Division would have been only six teams, a total of 16 teams. It was
decided to have two 8-team divisions, Second Division East and Second Division West. Unfortunately, this only gave
each division 14 games (7 home, 7 away). Each team, therefore was given four divisional crossover games (East versus
West) to total the number of games back up to 18 again. To make matters as fair as possible, which teams played
each other depended on their placing in their division after the initial 14 games had been played. The four additional
games DO count toward the final standings in each of the East and West divisions. The top team in each division
after 18 games plays each other to see who will be the overall Second Division Champions and Second Division Runners-up. |
