2005 Season Calendar of Events

IMPORTANT! Please note that some dates are subject to change. Particularly those for events such as meetings. DISCLAIMER: This calendar is meant as a guideline. The Website Administrator has tried to make sure all dates are correct. If, however, any date does not look correct -- particularly for any games (all SASL and CSSA games are usually scheduled for Sundays) -- please double-check with the Website Administrator!
29-Jan-2005	SASL Annual General Meeting Mandatory attendance Teams not represented will be FINED! Also, the CSSA AGM and the annual Connecticut Soccer Hall of Fame induction (attendance not mandatory).
02-Mar-2005	Team Information Sheet postmarked no later than March 2 -- must have manager and assistant manager e-mail contacts included.
02-Mar-2005	Initial registration of at least sixteen (16) players are required no later than March 2.
27-Mar-2005	Easter Sunday.
29-Mar-2005	Waiver of Liability forms for all registered players are required no later than March 29.
29-Mar-2005	7:00 PM SASL Pre-season Meeting at the Portuguese Club, Wallingford (click here for map). Mandatory attendance At least one representative from each team must attend.
01-Apr-2005	April 1 is the registration last postmarked date accepted for the season start on April 17. All registrations postmarked after this date will not be processed for the first league game on April 17. Those registrations will be processed for the second game on April 24.
17-Apr-2005	SASL League Season Opening Day for Over-30s and the Masters League.
30-Apr-2005	CSSA Over-30 and Over-40 State Cups applications with $50 entry fee due by April 30. The draw will be made on May 4. Group play begins on May 15.
04-May-2005	CSSA Over-30 and Over-40 State Cups qualifying groups draw.
08-May-2005	Mothers Day -- Over-30s and Masters League kick-off at 9:00 AM.
15-May-2005	CSSA State Cup Opening Day for Over-30 and Over-40 Cups.
29-May-2005	Memorial Day Weekend -- no games.
04-Jun-2005	National Soccer Hall of Fame Over-40 Tournament in Oneonta, upstate New York, June 4 & 5.
17-Jun-2005	Sports World Connecticut River Valley Adult Summer Soccer Classic in East Windsor, Connecticut. Men's Over-30 & Over-40 Tournaments on June 17 & 18. Three game guarantee, $399 entry fee, 11-a-side indoor and outdoor games. Telephone (860) 254-5137.
19-Jun-2005	Fathers Day -- Over-30s and Masters League kick-off at 9:00 AM.
22-Jun-2005	USASA National Veterans Cup Mens and Womens Adult Soccer Tournaments at Wilmington, North Carolina. Men's Over 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 & 60. Women's Over 30, 40, 45, 50 & 55. June 22-26, 2005.

13-Aug-2005	National Soccer Hall of Fame Over-50 Tournament in Oneonta, upstate New York, August 13 & 14.
14-Aug-2005	12th Annual Memorial Tournament, Ponte Landolfo Club, Waterbury, Connecticut. -- Over-30 and Over-40 sections.
14-Aug-2005	SASL season resumes for the fall.
04-Sep-2005	Labour Day Weekend -- no games.
11-Sep-2005	CSSA Over-30 and Over-40 State Cup Quarter-Finals.
04-Oct-2005	CSSA Over-40 State Cup Semi-Final #1 at Falcon Field, New Britain. Kick-off at 8:00 PM.
05-Oct-2005	CSSA Over-40 State Cup Semi-Final #2 at Falcon Field, New Britain. Kick-off at 8:00 PM.
09-Oct-2005	Columbus Day Weekend -- Over-30s and Masters League have games scheduled.
19-Oct-2005	CSSA Over-30 State Cup Semi-Final #1 at Tunxis Mead, Farmington, Field #4. Kick-off at 7:30 PM.
19-Oct-2005	CSSA Over-40 State Cup Final at Tunxis Mead, Farmington, Field #1. Kick-off at 7:30 PM.
20-Oct-2005	CSSA Over-30 State Cup Semi-Final #2 at Tunxis Mead, Farmington, Field #4. Kick-off at 7:30 PM.
30-Oct-2005	Scheduled end of the regular SASL season. Does not apply for make-up games, play-offs and cup games still to be played.
03-Nov-2005	CSSA Over-30 State Cup Final at Tunxis Mead, Farmington, Field #1. Kick-off at 7:30 PM.
06-Nov-2005	Fall make-up games begin.
13-Nov-2005	Over-30s Third Division play-offs.
20-Nov-2005	Scheduled end of the SASL season for all teams.
01-Dec-2005	IMPORTANT! All teams must return all player passes to the SASL Registrar, due no later than December 1.
