It is with huge regret and sadness that we have to report that Hubert Williston passed away on Friday, December 31, 1999 after a long battle with cancer.

Hubert was affiliated with the Windsor United Soccer Club of the SASL where he had been manager as well as player for many years. Hubert was instrumental in founding Windsor United Soccer Club in 1995, changing the name of the team from Innocents SC who had been in the League since 1991. Hubert was a player at Innocents where he played for Connecticut soccer legend Franz Innocent. As manager of Windsor he regularly attended SASL meetings and was highly respected for his contributions.
Hubert was originally from Jamaica in the West Indies. He came to the United States in January 1971 when he was 15 years old. He died just one month short of his 44th birthday.
The wake was in Windsor on Friday, January 7, 2000 and funeral services were on Saturday, January 8, 2000 at Grace Baptist Church, Windsor, with burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Hubert will be sadly missed as a valuable member of the SASL as a player and a manager. Our prayers and deepest sympathies go to his family from all of us in the brotherhood of the Shoreline Adult Soccer League.
